Freya started with a simple question: why is it so hard to find products that are truly good for you, for animals, and for the planet — all at once? We built the answer.
I've always cared deeply about the planet, about animals, and about what I put on and in my body. But the more I tried to make conscious choices, the harder it became. Every product claimed to be "clean" or "eco-friendly" or "cruelty-free," but the research required to actually verify those claims was exhausting.
I'd find a product I loved, only to discover it contained synthetic fragrance linked to hormone disruption. Or it was marketed as sustainable but tested on animals. Or the packaging was recyclable but the ingredients weren't plant-derived. It was impossible to find products that got everything right — the planet, the animals, and my health — all at once.
I knew I wasn't alone. And I knew there had to be a better way.
Freya was built around the belief that you shouldn't have to choose between products that are good for you, good for animals, and good for the planet. All three matter equally. So The Freya Standard holds every product to all three.
No greenwashing. No shortcuts. No exceptions.
Freya is just getting started. My vision is a world where caring for yourself, protecting animals, and living sustainably aren't separate things — they're one and the same. Where the products on your shelf are proof that you never had to compromise on any of it.
We're growing our shop, expanding The Freya Standard to certify more brands, and building a community of people who understand that how we consume shapes the world we live in — for us, for animals, and for every generation that comes after.
